This building with long span will connect the east and the west shore of the Island which will create an image of a bridge. In the urban context, this building will be a counterpart of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge which across the island and use it as a foundation. This image of a bridge will also fit the additional program we are going to add onto the building as a Ferry Terminal. There will be two ferry stops on both ends of the building which will add a lot of variation of the water way. And by connecting two ferry stops with the interior space of the building will make the Art School as part of the transportation system.
